Box.net Nets $1.5M From DFJ in Series A Round

PALO ALTO, CA --

Online file storage and sharing start up Box.net announced that it closed a $1.5 million Series A round investment from Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ).

Box.net's platform allows users to upload, share, access and collaborate on their files using many different applications and devices.

The company also said that it had registered 500,000 users in the past 7 months, proving the value proposition of its offerings.

DFJ partner Josh Stein led the transaction.
